¡Bienvenidos!

Buenas! I'm looking forward to working with and getting to know you this year! We have a LOT of fun in Spanish class. :)

In my 6th & 7th  grade classes , and to a large extent 8th grade Spanish 1, homework consists almost exclusively of work not completed during class time.  Additionally, because 8th grade is a HS credit class, many students may find the need to manage their own study routine to prepare for our written assessments. The assignments pages will reflect work we are doing in class on most occasions. Any missing work in the grade book reflects work not finished in class and/or not handed in.

I have been a professional educator for 21 years, 17 of which have been here in Mahtomedi. Prior to that, I lived in my hometowns of Fargo, ND & Mitchell, SD. My first four years teaching were in Mt. Vernon, SD, near Mitchell.Since beginning my career, I have always taught Spanish, and have taught all ages K12. I have also taught and coached speech and theatre, and have led numerous teacher traings with Organic World Language. Both my undergraduate degree and M.Ed. are from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, which is known for its language villages in Bemidji, MN.

I moved to Mahtomedi from Oakdale with my husband and our three children in fall 2015.  When I'm not teaching, I enjoying hiking & geocaching, reading & movies, and either trying out new restaurants or a new recipe!
