Marcia Senkler with School Board

Congratulations to Marcia Senkler, School Nurse at O.H. Anderson (OHA) Elementary and Mahtomedi Adventure Club (MAC) Associate, who was recently recognized by the Mahtomedi School Board for outstanding leadership at Mahtomedi Public Schools. The Mahtomedi School Board awards recognize the leadership and contributions staff members across our district are making to advance our strategic plan.

Ms. Senkler has been working for Mahtomedi Public Schools since 1996. Mahtomedi Community Education MAC and Youth Enrichment Coordinator Jamie O’Hara gave the award presentation and shared several ways that Ms. Senkler is living the strategic plan. During her presentation, she shared how, throughout her 28 years of service, Ms. Senkler has been valued for her kindness, patience, and sense of humor while supporting the social and emotional well-being of students and staff at both OHA and MAC. Ms. O’Hara also shared this: “Marcia is well-respected by students, staff, and families. Her positive attitude, outstanding dedication, and commitment to caring for young minds has created a wonderful environment for our Zephyr community.”

The award presentation also included quotes from students and staff, including these quotes from 3rd and 5th grade students, Jakobi W. and Jaxon H., and her MAC colleague, Terri S.:

Jakobi W.: “I like having Ms. Marcia in the gym at MAC, and she also helps me at school when I’m not feeling well.”
Jaxon H.: “She is respectful, kind, and patient. She is fun to have in the gym and at MAC!”
Terri S.: “It’s wonderful to work with such a funny, kind, and thoughtful person at MAC.”
